Dry Gloves

8-6-02

I am having nothing but trouble with my Viking dry gloves. They dry
rot prematurely, abrasion problems, and the ones they are shipping now
have a very narrow lip on the cuff that I have trouble getting to seal.
I've gone through four pairs in the past year. I like the system, it's
the quality I'm having problems with. Has anyone had any experience with
the Xerotech gloves or any other alternative. I know I can put a pair of
leather gloves over my rubber gloves, but that will only help with some
of the problems and I would lose dexterity.

Dave.....I may not be understanding your problem with your dry gloves.  I've used the Viking gloves for years without a problem in breakdown or sealing.  If they are dried out of the sun and stored in a bag out of the sun and out of heat and also powdered they should last longer than your suit.  As for the sealing problem....make sure you have the cuffs pulled at least an inch over the suit wristlets.   As I said, maybe I'm not understanding....take care.
