Our nonprofit organization RIPTIDE is now up and running. The missions include drowning prevention, public safety personnel safety, homicidal drowning research, and community assistance with drownings and homicidal drowning cases. RIPTIDE is currently publishing as an on-line magazine to replace SORTIE magazine. If you liked SORTIE Magazine you will love RIPTIDE Magazine. Many of you have asked, "What happened to SORTIE Magazine?" As you may know we were responsible for the magazine's content and Mark York was the publisher. It became far too expensive to publish the magazine because advertisers were not paying and too many readers did not understand they needed to order subscriptions instead of expecting the issues to be sent to them for free. It costs a great deal to publish a high quality magazine. So the good news is that RIPTIDE will be taking the project over with the incredible assistance of Argos Networks (our server and webmasters).
