Day One   - (typically an evening) - 4 hours classroom

Day Two   - 4 hours hands-on low angle rigging session including review of Level I Operation skills.  4 hours rigging and platform work on whitewater.

Day Three - 6-7 hours hands-on work on whitewater followed by 1-2 hour classroom session with written examination.

Helmets and PFD’s can be rented for $5 each for the duration of the course to students who do not have their own. Helmets, PFD’s and gloves can be purchased during the course at reduced cost. Lifeguard Systems provides the low angle rigging equipment, and if necessary vessels.

Certification:  Photo ID ACUC swiftwater Certification, Wall Certificate included in course fee

Course Costs: : $3,000 plus $20 per student* for certification card (optional) and two hotel rooms for two nights (which are typically donated by hotel). *If only a wall certificate will suffice, instead of the ID photo certification, then the $20 fee per student is not necessary. If this fee is dropped, then individual students have the option of purchasing this certification at the end of the course for $20. Staff travel expenses may need to be added to the course fee depending on the course location. Optional book for students is recommended at $25 each.

Suggested Retail Cost per student: Host should charge and collect $195 per student. If 14 students are outsiders then the Host brings in $2730 and basically gets 11 of their own members trained free.
